  1. 16. A Simulation-Based Optimisation Method for PLC Systems

    Författare :Bo Svensson; Bengt Lennartson; Rolf Bernhardt; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Simulation based optimisation; Virtual manufacturing; Industrial control system; PLC; Continuous simulation; Parameter tuning; Optimisation methods; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Tuning of process parameters such as time constants, cam values, velocities and robot paths, in order to increase capacity utilisation, is today a challenging manual on-line task in many automated manufacturing systems. On-line methods interfere with production and will cause unwanted downtime, which indeed reduces capacity utilisation. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Optimisation of Long-Term Industrial Planning

    Författare :Peter Forsberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Optimisation under uncertainty; Transition strategy optimisation; Investment strategies; Multi-objective decision making;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, long-term optimisation methods for industrial transition processes have beendeveloped, taking monetary and environmental considerations into account. Two different methods forinvestment optimisation have been developed. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Multi-Robot Motion Planning Optimisation for Handling Sheet Metal Parts

    Författare :Emile Glorieux; Bengt Lennartson; Fredrik Danielsson; Bo Svensson; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multi-robot systems; motion planning; modelling and simulation; optimisation; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Motion planning for robot operations is concerned with path planning and trajectory generation. In multi-robot systems, i.e. with multiple robots operating simultaneously in a shared workspace, the motion planning also needs to coordinate the robots' motions to avoid collisions between them. 4. 19. Optimisation methods for solving a large-scale avionics scheduling problem

    Författare :Emil Karlsson; Elina Rönnberg; Kaj Holmberg; Simin Nadjm-Tehrani; Musliu Nysret; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Optimisation; Decomposition; Large-scale scheduling; Avionics scheduling;

    Sammanfattning : Modern computer systems in aircraft are based on an integrated modular avionic architecture. In this architecture, software applications share hardware resources on a common avionic platform. Many functions in an aircraft are controlled by software and a failure in such software can have severe consequences. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Development of methods and strategies for optimisation of x-ray examinations

    Författare :Jonny Hansson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; optimisation; visual grading; VGC Analyzer;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the work presented in this thesis was to develop methods and strategies for the optimisation process prescribed by legal authorities for medical X-ray imaging. This overall aim was divided into four detailed aims: 1) to analyse and describe the conditions for the optimisation of a given projectional X-ray examination in a digital environment, 2) to develop an overall strategy for the optimisation work in a radiology department, 3) to develop and implement a suitable method for statistical analysis of visual grading characteristics (VGC) data, and, 4) to evaluate the characteristics of the new statistical method by comparison with receiver operating characteristics (ROC) statistical methodology and by simulations.
