  1. 11. Practical Safety Ventilation in Ultraclean Air Operating Rooms

    Författare :Pedro Gandra; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; airborne bacteria-carrying particles; microbial source strength; surgical clothing system; room air distribution system; Keywords: Ultraclean operating room;

    Sammanfattning : PRACTICAL SAFETY VENTILATION IN   ULTRACLEAN AIR OPERATING ROOMS When planning new ultraclean air operating rooms, often the first question is which is the preferred room air distribution system and what system is the best to meet the requirements of microbiological air cleanliness. Today, in Sweden, the requirement is a target level of 5 CFU/m3during the design phase, in order to ensure that the level of ≤10 CFU/m3during infection prone surgery is maintained. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis introduces and describes a new experimental setup for examining the effects of pulsating inflow to a ventilated enclosure. The study aimed to test the hypothesis that a pulsating inflow has potential to improve ventilation quality by reducing the stagnation zones through enhanced mixing. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Work Environment in the Operating Room during Cytoreductive Surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy : Factors Influencing Choice of Protective Equipment

    Författare :Sara Näslund Andréasson; Haile Mahteme; Helena Anundi; Christine Leo Swenne; Ulrica Nilsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) is a common metastatic manifestation of both gastrointestinal and gynecological malignancies. Curative modes of treatment are cytoreductive surgery (CRS) combined with intraoperative hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Indoor air quality directly affects the comfort, performance, and well-being of occupants. Indoor pollution can cause immediate or long-term health effects and has been responsible for 4.1% of global deaths in recent decades. LÄS MER

  5. 15. A Hybrid Operating Room in the Making - Coordinating the lntroduction and Use of New Technology

    Författare :Daniel Tyskbo; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; coordination; professions; healthcare professionals; new technology; introduction and use; social setting; physical space; coordinating as an overlapping professional domain; in-depth common understanding; spatial awareness;

    Sammanfattning : New technologies are often introduced hoping to achieve cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and product/service quality increases. Early researchers have often focused on these hopes and how existing organizational design and function are shaped. LÄS MER
