1. Amine Transaminases in Multi-Step One-Pot Reactions
Sammanfattning : Amine transaminases are enzymes that catalyze the mild and selective formation of primary amines, which are useful building blocks for biologically active compounds and natural products. In order to make the production of these kinds of compounds more efficient from both a practical and an environmental point of view, amine transaminases were incorporated into multi-step one-pot reactions. 2. Functional Dendritic Materials using Click Chemistry : Synthesis, Characterizations and Applications
3. Diaryliodonium Salts : Development of Synthetic Methodologies and α-Arylation of Enolates
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes novel reaction protocols for the synthesis of diaryliodonium salts and also provides an insight to the mechanism of α-arylation of carbonyl compounds with diaryliodonium salts. The first chapter gives a general introduction to the field of hypervalent iodine chemistry, mainly focusing on recent developments and applications of diaryliodonium salts. LÄS MER
4. Bridging McMurry and Wittig in One-Pot : Olefins from Stereoselective, Reductive Couplings of Two Aldehydes via Phosphaalkenes
Sammanfattning : The formation of C=C bonds is of great importance for fundamental and industrial synthetic organic chemistry. There are many different methodologies for the construction of C=C bonds in the literature, but currently only the McMurry reaction allows the reductive coupling of two carbonyl compounds to form alkenes. 5. Efficient and High-Yielding Routes to Diaryliodonium Salts
Sammanfattning : This thesis summarizes three novel and general reaction protocols for the synthesis of diaryliodonium salts. All protocols utilize mCPBA as oxidant and the acids used are either TfOH, to obtain triflate salts, or BF3•Et2O that gives the corresponding tetrafluoroborate salts in situ. LÄS MER
