21. Wireless Sensor Network Scheduling and Event-based Control for Industrial Processes
Sammanfattning : Control over wireless sensor and actuator networks is of growing interest in process industry since it enables flexible design, deployment, operation, and maintenance. An important problem in industrial wireless control is how to limit the amount of information that needs to be exchanged over the network. LÄS MER
22. Experiment design with applications in identification for control
Sammanfattning : The main part of this thesis focuses on optimal experiment design for system identification within the prediction error framework. A rather flexible framework for translating optimal experiment design into tractable convex programs is presented. The design variables are the spectral properties of the external excitations. 23. On Structure Exploiting Numerical Algorithms for Model Predictive Control
Sammanfattning : One of the most common advanced control strategies used in industry today is Model Predictive Control (MPC), and some reasons for its success are that it can handle multivariable systems and constraints on states and control inputs in a structured way. At each time-step in the MPC control loop the control input is computed by solving a constrained finite-time optimal control (CFTOC) problem on-line. LÄS MER
24. Optimisation and control of boundary layer flows
Sammanfattning : Both optimal disturbances and optimal control are studied by means of numerical simulations for the case of the flat-plate boundary-layer flow. The optimisation method is the Lagrange multiplier technique where the objective function is the kinetic energy of the flow perturbations and the constraints involve the linearised Navier–Stokes equations. 25. Exploiting Direct Optimal Control for Motion Planning in Unstructured Environments
Sammanfattning : During the last decades, motion planning for autonomous systems has become an important area of research. The high interest is not the least due to the development of systems such as self-driving cars, unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic manipulators. LÄS MER
