  1. 21. Spatial distribution and conservation planning of seabed biological diversity

    Författare :Genoveva Gonzalez-Mirelis; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spatial autocorrelation; ecological classifications; distribution modelling; biotopes; conservation planning; biodiversity surrogates; GIS; spatial ecology; benthos; fjord;

    Sammanfattning : Knowledge of spatial patterns of biota has become a commodity for conservation practitioners and spatial ecologists alike. This type of information enables the identification of representative and unique biological features (at some nominal scale) which itself constitutes the application par excellence of knowledge of biodiversity distribution as it relates to the design of reserve networks and the realization of spatial planning. 2. 22. Contributions to High–Dimensional Analysis under Kolmogorov Condition

    Författare :Jolanta Maria Pielaszkiewicz; Dietrich von Rosen; Martin Singul; Thomas Holgersson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Eigenvalue distribution; free moments; free Poisson law; Marchenko-Pastur law; random matrices; spectral distribution; Wishart matrix; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is about high–dimensional problems considered under the so{called Kolmogorov condition. Hence, we consider research questions related to random matrices with p rows (corresponding to the parameters) and n columns (corresponding to the sample size), where p > n, assuming that the ratio  converges when the number of parameters and the sample size increase. 3. 23. Dagligvarudistributionens strukturomvandling : Drivkrafter och konsekvenser för städers utformning och miljö

    Författare :Tomas Svensson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; wholesaling; retailing; town planning; structural change; food; groceries; out-of-town supermarkets; cartrips; urban environment; technological change; Linköping; Sweden; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the dramatic structural changes in the wholesaling and retailing of food and groceries in towns and cities in Sweden, with emphasis on the period after the Second World War. Besides a general analysis based on national data, the town of Linköping is used to illustrate the spatial dimension in the development of food distribution at the micro level. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Utbildningens värde : Fördelning, avkastning och social reproduktion under 1900-talet

    Författare :Andreas Melldahl; Mikael Börjesson; Martin Gustavsson; Donald Broady; Marianne Nordli Hansen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; education; expansion; inflation; change; bourdieu; cohorts; generations; elites; multiple correspondence analysis; distribution; sociology of education; Utbildningssociologi; Sociology of Education;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on changes in the value of educational capital over time. Taking as a point of departure Pierre Bourdieu’s notion of a multidimensional social space, the thesis examines how this value is affected when educational assets—through the democratization of education—are becoming more widespread across this space (i.e. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Ecology of nematophagous fungi in agricultural soils

    Författare :Lotta Persmark; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic farming; Fungistasis; Competition; Bacteria; Conidial traps; Rhizosphere; Seasonal variation; Distribution; Endoparasitic; Nematode; Nematode-trapping; Ecology; Ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Nematophagous fungi possess various mechanisms for infecting nematodes, and are either obligate parasites or facultative saprophytes. Nematophagous fungi have a potential as biological control agents against plant- and animal-parasitic nematodes. LÄS MER
