  1. 1. Norovirus Tracing in Environmental and Outbreak Settings - Experiences of waterborne, foodborne and nosocomial transmission

    Författare :Nancy P Nenonen; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Norovirus; tracing; environment; foodborne; outbreak; waterborne; nosocomial; mussels; GI.1; oysters; GII.4; dust; surfaces; air; molecular epidemiology;

    Sammanfattning : Noroviruses (NoV), a major cause of acute gastroenteritis in hospital settings, also occur as sporadic infections or periodic non-seasonal community outbreaks. Human NoV replicates to high concentration in the intestinal tract, is readily transmitted by the faecal-oral route, hand-to-hand contact, contaminated food and water, and by aerosols. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Microbiological Surveillance in Primary Health Care New Aspects of Antimicrobial Resistance and Molecular Epidemiology in an Ageing Population

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Magnus Olofsson; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2016]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Colonization; Nosocomial; Bacteria;

    Sammanfattning : BackgroundThe inexorable rise in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) interferes with the goals of health care services around the world, given how critical the antibacterials are in making infections treatable and surgical procedures doable. Nursing homes residents have been identified as a reservoir for AMR, possibly due to the combination of being physically and mentally frail, frequently treated with antibacterials, and frequently moved between nursing home and hospital. 3. 3. Aspects of neonatal septicaemia prevention and complications

    Detta är en avhandling från Örebro : Örebro University

    Sammanfattning : Study I was part of the Extremely Preterm Infants in Sweden Study (EXPRESS), a prospective national study including all infants born <27 weeks in Sweden in 2004-2007 that survived their first year of life (n=497). Neonatal sepsis was evaluated as a risk factor for neonatal morbidities. LÄS MER

  4. 4. GB virus C/hepatitis G virus infection: clinical, histological and epidemiological aspects

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Infectious Diseases, Lund University

    Författare :Per Björkman; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2001]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; endoscopy; nosocomial; sexual transmission; parenteral transmission; blood donor; ALT; liver disease; hepatitis; GBV-C HGV; HCV; Infections; Infektioner;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Man har länge känt till att hepatit (leverinflammation) kan överföras som blodburen smitta, t ex vid blodtransfusion eller genom intravenöst narkotikamissbruk. Under de sista decennierna har man identifierat två virus, hepatit B-virus (HBV) och hepatit C-virus (HCV), som visat sig ge upphov till merparten av fall av blodburen hepatit. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Immunocompromised Patients. Infections, Diagnostics and Nosocomial Transmission

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University, Faculty of Medicine

    Författare :Anna Stjärne Asplund; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the work presented in this thesis was to improve the management ofinfections in immunocompromised patients by studying aspects of diagnostics,epidemiology and nosocomial transmission. Infection and rejection are commoncomplications in lung-transplant patients, and early diagnosis and treatment areimportant for a positive outcome. LÄS MER
