1. Populus transcriptomics : from noise to biology
2. Flow Pulsations in Fluid Power Machines - a Measurement and Simulation Study
Sammanfattning : Stricter requirements for better working environment involve noise and vibration control of hydraulic machines. The operational conditions for hydraulic machines, such as pressure and rotational speed, are also increasing and this makes it even more difficult to develop a quiet, vibration-free machine due to the interdependence between noise and escalating operational conditions. 3. Predicting the sound field from aeroacoustic sources on moving vehicles : Towards an improved urban environment
Sammanfattning : In a society where environmental noise is becoming a major health and economical concern, sound emissions are an increasingly critical design factor for vehicle manufacturers. With about a quarter of the European population living close to roads with heavy traffic, traffic noise in urban landscapes has to be addressed first. LÄS MER
4. The simulation of car and truck tyre vibrations, rolling resistance and rolling noise
Sammanfattning : The road transportation sector places a severe burden on the environment in the form of CO2 emissions and road traffic noise. Both of these environmental prob- lems can be related to car and truck tyres. LÄS MER
5. Subband Beamforming for Speech Enhancement in Hands-Free Communication
Sammanfattning : Speech enhancement by means of microphone array signal processing has a major role in voice communication applications such as audio-conferencing, hands-free telephony, voice recognition and hearing aids. In these communication scenarios, the speaker is positioned at a remote distance from the microphones, which causes problems of environment noise and interfering sound corrupting the received speech.
