  1. 1. If you want to go far, go with others – How using a collaborative project delivery model affects the project network in infrastructure construction projects

    Författare :Anna af Hällström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; collaboration; infrastructure construction; social ties; major projects; AEC industry; project network; project management;

    Sammanfattning : The growth of projects has elicited much interest in the last decades, both in academia and amongst practitioners. The increase in scale and complexity has further brought attention to the particulars of interorganisational collaboration: as projects grow, the relevance and impact of interdependencies between participating organisations rise to the surface. 2. 2. A Microdata Analysis Approach to Transport Infrastructure Maintenance

    Författare :Kristin Svenson; Lars Rönnegård; Karin Edvardsson; Nasir Gharaibeh; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transport Infrastructure Asset Management; Transport Infrastructure Maintenance; Statistical Modeling; Microdata Analysis; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis; Komplexa system - mikrodataanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Maintenance of transport infrastructure assets is widely advocated as the key in minimizing current and future costs of the transportation network. While effective maintenance decisions are often a result of engineering skills and practical knowledge, efficient decisions must also account for the net result over an asset's life-cycle. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Smart pavement maintenance and infrastructure operation through digital twins : Case study for Norvik Port, Sweden

    Författare :Julian Dario Rodriguez; Nicole Kringos; Romain Balieu; Plati Christina; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pavement management; digital twins; finite element model pavement; infrastructure maintenance.; Vägunderhåll; Digitala tvillingar; Ändliga elementmodeller för vägar; Infrastrukturförvaltning; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Byggvetenskap; Bro- och stålbyggnad; Structural Engineering and Bridges;

    Sammanfattning : There is an urgent need to make the way in which people and goods move more sustainable. Though pavements are one of the key components of road transportation networks and logistics systems, they are usually overlooked in systemic sustainability analyses. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Reliable and deterministic network services

    Författare :Florian-Daniel Otel; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; queuing delay guarantees; service curve; constraint-based routing; TCP; network security; arrival curve; network failure recovery; traffic engineering; network calculus; traffic envelope;

    Sammanfattning : In a post Internet bubble economic environment the obvious lack of any disruptive new technologies that could give new impetus to network growth (as, for example, experienced after the appearance of the Web) lead to a trivialization of network services: Aside grass-roots, semi-subterranean applications like file sharing, entertainment content swapping and on-line gaming, it can be argued that network services are presently used in a manner not very different than a decade ago. In this respect, one of the factors that can be identified as limiting further development is the perceived lack of guarantees with regard to network services. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Performance Measures of Road Infrastructure - A Life Cycle Thinking Approach

    Författare :Babak Ebrahimi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Road infrastructure; Life Cycle Assessment LCA ; Lifetime Estimation; Geographic Information System GIS ; Life Cycle Thinking LCT ; Material Flow Analysis MFA ;

    Sammanfattning : Roads have been an important asset of human society and the approach we adopt towards planning, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining of the road infrastructure has significant consequences in the long-term for not only the humans, but all species on planet Earth. Hence, the lifecycle performance of the road infrastructure that sustain our socioeconomic development with a low environmental impact, while fulfilling their technical and functional requirements is of critical importance and needs to be improved.
