31. Quality of life after esophageal cancer surgery
Sammanfattning : The principal aim of this research was to find ways to improve the quality of life of esophageal cancer patients after surgical treatment and to reduce persisting symptoms that often occur after that procedure. Since esophageal cancer surgery is extensive and carries a poor long-term prognosis, it is relevant to assess quality of life and complications as outcome measures. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The general aim of the present thesis was to identify and study dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CE-MRI) features that contribute to the diagnosis and may help in predicting prognosis in breast cancer. Study I studied the kinetic and morphological MR features and their diagnostic power were studied in a total of 92 women with 109 histopathologically verified breast lesions. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Cancer of the urinary organs is one of the more common cancer forms in Sweden, with bladder cancer as the fourth most common cancer among men, and the seventh most common among women. The bladder cancer incidence is rising with age and is seldom seen before 50 years of age. LÄS MER
