  1. 16. Antibody Mediated Radionuclide Targeting of HER-2 for Cancer Diagnostics and Therapy Preclinical Studies

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Mikael Persson; Per-Uno Malmström; Vladimir Tolmachev; Jörgen Carlsson; Marion De Jong; [2006]
    Nyckelord :Molecular medicine; Neoplasm Antibodies; Targeted Radiotherapy; Radionuclide Imaging; Molekylärmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) holds great promise for the treatment of cancer. In TRT, radioactive nuclides are delivered specifically to tumours by molecules that recognise and bind to structures overexpressed by, or specific to, cancer cells. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Cervical cancer prevention Studies on possible improvements

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Björn Strander; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2007]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia; cytology; colposcopy; HPV; cervical neoplasm; epidemiology; treatment; follow up;

    Sammanfattning : Aims: The aim of this study is to target and assess possible improvements for women attending cervical cancer screening programs. Methods: In a randomized study the use of ThinPrep liquid based cytology (LBC) was tested against conventional cytology. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Interval cancers, positive predictive value for malignance and other early quality indicators in mammographic screening for breast cancer

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Bedrich Vitak; Ingvar Andersson; [1998]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Mammography; Breast neoplasm; Breast cancer screening; Interval breast cancer; Metastasis; Mortality; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : The study was designed to evaluate early quality indicators in screening for breast cancer. lt comprised, (i) investigations of compliance, recall, referral, cancer detection, and interval cancer rates in the Östergötland screening programme of women aged 40-74 years; (ii) evaluation of the three-stage diagnostic procedure for pre-operative assessment of women with suspicious mammographic findings; (iii) comprehensive analysis of all invasive interval cancers detected; and (iv) investigation into how to reduce the number of interval cancers without a concomitant increase in false positives. 4. 19. New Roles of Filamins in Cell Signaling, Transcription and Organ Development

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Xianghua Zhou; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2009]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; filamins; cell movement; hypoxia-inducible factor 1; proto-oncogene proteins c-met; mice; knockout; F-actin-binding proteins; integrins; GTB phosphohydrolases; genetic diseases; inborn; vascular endothelial cell growth factor A; Smad2 protein; hepatocyte growth factor; cartilage; osteogenesis; neovascularization; neoplasm metastasis;

    Sammanfattning : Filamins are large actin-binding proteins that stabilize delicate three-dimensional actin networks and link them to cellular membranes. They integrate cell architectural and signaling functions and are essential for cell locomotion and development. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Incidentally detected adrenal lesions - radiological aspects

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Lilian Hammarstedt; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2011]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Incidental finding; Adrenal incidentaloma; Adrenal Gland Neoplasm; Computed Tomography; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Follow-up Studies; Oncology; Observer variation; Phantom Studies;

    Sammanfattning : Incidentally detected adrenal lesions (“adrenal incidentalomas”) have become a growing clinical problem due to increased and refined radiology methods. Autopsy studies show frequencies as high as 7-8% in the elderly. A large part of such lesions give no health problems but some can be related to hormone overproduction or malignant disease. LÄS MER
