  1. 16. Nanostructured carbon materials prepared by hole-mask colloidal lithography

    Författare :Hans Fredriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; HOPG; GC; Colloidal Lithography; Oxygen; RIE; Nanofabrication;

    Sammanfattning : Research and development of nanofabrication methods can be motivated both formanufacturing of commercially available products like micro electronic componentsand for development of model systems for fundamental and applied science. Thefabrication process developed during this work, hole-mask colloidal lithography(HCL), is primarily oriented towards the latter two, specifically for research in thefields of catalysis, nanoparticle plasmons, and bio- and fundamental physics. 2. 17. Computational Investigation of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

    Författare :Mattias Nilsing; Sten Lunell; Lars Ojamäe; Petter Persson; Sven Stafström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Quantum chemistry; titanium dioxide; anatase; rutile; pyridine; perylene; nanostructured; interface; electronic coupling; electron injection; quantum chemistry; phosphonic acid; Kvantkemi;

    Sammanfattning : Interfaces between semiconductors and adsorbed molecules form a central area of research in surface science, occurring in many different contexts. One such application is the so-called Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) where the nanostructured dye-semiconductor interface is of special interest, as this is where the most important ultrafast electron transfer process takes place. 3. 18. Engineering nanomaterials with enhanced functionality

    Författare :Shanghua Li; Mamoun Muhammed; Saad Elraghy; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PMMA-ZnO; nanocomposite; hybrid material; in situ sol-gel polymerization; quantum dots; UV-shielding; Nanostructured surface; Pool boiling; Heat transfer coefficient; Bubble nucleation; Enhanced boiling; dendritic branch; Electrodeposition; Nanoengineering; Materials chemistry; Materialkemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the engineering of novel nanomaterials, particularly nanocomposites and nanostructured surfaces with enhanced functionalities. The study includes two parts; in the first part, an in situ sol-gel polymerization approach is used for the synthesis of polymer-inorganic hybrid material and its exceptional transparent UV-shielding effect has been investigated. 4. 19. Studies of Model Nanostructured Materials : Geometric and Electronic Structure, and sub-10 fs Charge Transfer Dynamics

    Författare :Joachim Schnadt; Wilfried Wurth; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : A number of nanostructured systems has been investigated by means of Photoemission and X-ray absorption spectroscopies and by Scanning tunneling microscopy with emphasis on the geometric and electronic structure and the excited-state charge transfer dynamics. These systems comprise aromatic molecules on semiconductor surfaces (titanium dioxide), metal clusters, and an alkali-C60 compound. LÄS MER
