16. Corrosion Fatigue of Stainless Steels
Sammanfattning : The aim of this work was to investigate the effect ofchloride-containing environments on corrosion fatigueproperties for different stainless steels grades. The steelsinvestigated ranged from the standard 304 grade to thesuperaustenitic 654SMO and the superduplex SAF2507. LÄS MER
17. Polyelectrolyte adsorption on oppositely charged surfaces - Conformation and adsorption kinetics
18. Cerebral mechanisms in cardiovascular control : studies on haemorrhage and effects of sodium
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes experiments investigating the influence of the brain on cardiovascular adaptations to haemorrhage and excess sodium in conscious chronically prepared sheep. A continuous reduction in blood volume eventually activates a reflex that causes a fall in vascular resistance and heart rate and thereby also in arterial blood pressure. LÄS MER
19. Aspects of sepsis/SIRS - An experimental study on fluid therapy, vitamin C and plasma volume in increased permeability
Sammanfattning : In sepsis, after major surgery or severe trauma, the human body may suffer from various degrees of generalized inflammation, a syndrome called Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS). One feature of SIRS is increased capillary permeability, caused by disruption of the capillary endothelium due to e.g. LÄS MER
20. Epitaxy of oxide and nitride thin films grown by magnetron sputtering
Sammanfattning : The need for electronic devices with new functionalities has caused research to move in a way to design and utilize materials with high-performance thermoelectricity, widely used in batteries, sensors, and electronic devices. Two-dimensional materials (2D) with unique structures and remarkable properties have been identified to fabricate oxide heteroepitaxy. LÄS MER
