  1. 1. Theoretical Studies on Electronic and Vibrationally Resolved Multi-Photon Absorption and Dichroism

    Författare :Na Lin; Yi Luo; Marcel Nooijen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Multi-photon absorption and dichroism; Vibronically resolved spectroscopy; Quantum chemistry; Kvantkemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents time-dependent density functional theory studies on electronic and vibronically resolved linear and nonlinear optical absorption and dichroism spectra of organic molecules. Special attention has been paid to the influence of solvent environment and molecular vibrations on one-, two- and three-photon absorption and one- and two-photon circular dichroism. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Transducer properties of a mechanoreceptor : an electrophysiological and pharmacological study of the crayfish stretch receptor

    Författare :Jiahui Lin; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :stretch receptor; Na channels; K channels; local anesthetics; calmodulin antagonist; patch clamp; voltage clamp;

    Sammanfattning : The abdominal stretch receptor organ of the crayfish, an analog to the human muscle spindle, contains one slowly adapting (SA) and one rapidly adapting (RA) receptor neuron. The general aims of this project were to elucidate, in the SA and RA neurons, the participation of voltagegated Na+ and K+ channels in overall transducer process and adaptation, and to study possible blocking agents specific to mechanosensitive (MS) channels. 3. 3. Simultaneous localization and mapping with robots

    Författare :John Folkesson; Henrik I. Christensen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; computer science; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : A fundamental competence of any mobile robot system is the ability to remain localized while operating in an environment. For unknown/partially known environments there is a need to combine localization with automatic mapping to facilitate the localization process. LÄS MER
