The indirect effects of ionizing radiation mediated by reactive oxygen species (ROS) which produced through radiolysis of water and if not taken care of by the antioxidant system, can also give rise to oxidative stress.     Sammanfattning : All living cells are dependent on nucleic acids for their survival. The genetic information stored in DNA is translated into functional proteins via a messenger molecule, the ribonucleic acid (RNA).
