1. An Analysis of NMRD profiles and ESR lineshapes of MRI Contrast Agents
Sammanfattning : To optimize contrast agent in MRI scan region, e.g. to enhance paramagnetic relaxation in the MRI scan fields(0.1T-3T), one possible way is to slow down the tumbling of the paramagnetic complex. LÄS MER
2. Analysis of NMR Spin-lattice Relaxation Dispersion on Complex Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis focus on the analysis of spin-lattice NMRD relaxation profilesmeasured in various complex systems such as proteins, zeolites and ionicliquids. Proton, deuterium and fluoride T1-NMRD relaxation profiles wereobtained from a fast-field cycling (FFC) instrument. LÄS MER
3. Nuclear Magnetic Relaxation Dispersion and Pulsed-Gradient Spin Echo Studies of Biomolecular Solutions and Amphiphilic Liquid Crystals
Sammanfattning : Biomolecular solutions and amphiphilic liquid crystals are studied by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Dispersion (NMRD) and Pulsed-Gradient Spin Echo (PGSE) respectively. A random-flight simulation is performed to obtain the obstructing factors for self-diffusion of small molecules in macrofluids. LÄS MER
4. Study of retention mechanisms in Hydrophilic Interaction Chromatography by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with investigations of the retention mechanisms in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The aims are to understand how the different types of stationary phases can influence the retention of various solutes and the adsorption abilities of solvent on stationary phases. LÄS MER
5. ALA and m-ALA in bicontinuous lipid formulations: -Characterization and Transdermal Delivery
Sammanfattning : δ-Aminolevulinic acid (ALA) and its methyl ester (m-ALA) are both used in photodynamic therapy (PDT) of certain non melanoma skin cancers as the basal cell carcinoma (BCC). In PDT the cancer cells are destroyed by a photochemical reaction that occurs when a photosensitive molecule is irradiated with light of a certain wavelength. LÄS MER
