  1. 1. Natural killer T (NKT) lymphocytes regulate of intestinal tumor immunity

    Författare :Ying Wang; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NKT lymphocyte; intestinal tumor; CD1d; colrectal cancer; immunoregulation; α-gagactosylceramide;

    Sammanfattning : CD1d-restricted natural killer T (NKT) lymphocytes are known as potent early regulatory cells of immune responses, acting as a bridge between innate and adaptive immunity. While invariant NKT (iNKT) cells have a protective role in many tumor models, their ability to promote intestinal inflammation, known to enhance intestinal cancer, raised the question if they would be protective in intestinal tumor development. 2. 2. Factors regulating lymphocyte development and peripheral activation

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Endocrinology, Wallenberg laboratory, Malmö University Hospital

    Författare :Anna Makowska; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2002]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; transplantation; serology; Immunology; NKT cells; TFG beta; Treg; Immunologi; serologi;

    Sammanfattning : Peripheral tolerance is regulated by different types of regulatory T cells, including CD1-restricted T cells and CD4+CD25+ regulatory T (Treg) cells. This thesis has focused on the interactions between T cells and antigen presenting cells (APCs) and the immunregulatory function of TGF-b as two important factors regulating differentiation and activation of T cells in the periphery. 3. 3. Genetics and functions of innate-like lymphocyte subsets

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Endocrinology, Wallenberg laboratory, Malmö University Hospital

    Författare :Julia Rolf; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2007]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; innate-like lymphocyte; CD1d; autoimmunity; genetic mapping; microarray; Salmonella infection;

    Sammanfattning : The immune system contains three different branches: innate immunity, adaptive immunity and innate-like lymphocytes that share properties both with the innate and adaptive immune cells. The innate-like lymphocytes have the capacity to rapidly become activated by invading pathogens and also to modulate immune responses and thereby inhibit or promote inflammation. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Immunoregulation in experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Occupational Therapy and Elderly Care Research (NEUROTEC)

    Författare :Hua-Bing Wang; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2000]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Myasthenia gravis (MG) derives its name from Latin and Greek words meaning, "grave muscle weakness". MG is a classical T cell dependent antibody-mediated autoimmune disease. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Methods and biomarkers for outcome prediction after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Dept of Laboratory Medicine

    Författare :Darius Sairafi; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2012]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a potent immunotherapeutic procedure but its usability is limited by a high risk of serious complications. A prerequisite for timely initiation of preventive measures is the availability of predictive methods. LÄS MER
