  1. 6. Demand Controlled Ventilation. A Case Study for Existing Swedish Multifamily Buildings

    Författare :Vitalijus Pavlovas; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; indoor temperature; individual metering; energy savings; Apartment buildings demand controlled ventilation; measurements; indoor air quality;

    Sammanfattning : The energy issue is rising on the agendas all over the world and energy efficiency and energy saving become more and more important. The building sector stands for a large part of the total energy used, e.g. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Incentivising Innovation in the Swedish Construction Industry

    Författare :Jonas Anund Vogel; Per Lundqvist; Hans Lind; Jaime Arias Hurtado; Ellen Van Bueren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy efficiency; resource efficiency; construction industry; building sector; innovation; agreements; common-pool resources; multifamily buildings; Sweden; contract theory; energieffektivisering; resursoptimering; byggindustrin; bostadssektorn; innovation; avtal; allmänningar; flerbostadshus; kontraktsteori; Sverige; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Almost 40 percent of global final energy use and CO2 emissions are connected to buildings and building-related activities; it is therefore important to incentivise the design and construction of resource-efficient buildings. Unfortunately, energy demand and associated emissions in the sector continue to grow. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Managing high environmental performance? : Applying life cycle approaches and environmental certification tools in the building and real estate sectors

    Författare :Nils W. O. Brown; Tove Malmqvist; Peter Guthrie; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Buildings; operational energy use; life cycle assessment; environmental certification; environmental assessment; renovation; strategy; design process; value creation; embodied environmental impacts; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The main aim of this thesis is  to demonstrate and critically assess life cycle approaches’ and environmental certification (EC) tools’ potential for supporting decisions for improved environmental performance in the building and real estate sectors.Using life cycle approaches, the thesis shows that for new build and renovation cases aiming for low operational energy use that embodied global warming potential (GWP) due to material production can constitute a large portion of a building’s lifetime GWP. 4. 9. Solcellssystem i svenska byggnader: Förutsättningar relaterade till lönsamhet och montage

    Författare :Maria Haegermark; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; buildings; economic analysis; roofs; mounting systems; solar photovoltaics;

    Sammanfattning : As a result of decreased solar photovoltaic (PV) system prices, the Swedish PV market has grown rapidly the last few years, with the majority of new capacity installed inbuildings. However, the market is still small and this licentiate thesis therefore aims to help facilitating for a continued positive development by adding to the knowledge about conditions related to PV in Swedish buildings. 5. 10. Improved building energy simulations and verifications by regression

    Författare :Jimmy Vesterberg; Thomas Olofsson; Folke Björk; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Calibrated simulations; Energy signature; Regression; BES; IDA ICE; Multifamily buildings; EUI;

    Sammanfattning : It is common with significant differences between calculated and actual energy use in the building sector. These calculations are often performed with whole building energy simulation (BES) programs. In this process the analyst must make several assumptions about the studied building and its users. LÄS MER
