    Sammanfattning : Buildings account for 40% of all energy use in European countries. The European Union (EU) therefore encourages member states to adopt Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) and implement energy-efficient practices during building design to minimize the energy use of buildings. Sammanfattning : The Swedish society is interested in reducing the use of electricity and especially electricity for heating purposes. For this purpose governmental subsidies have been introduced to support a change from electric heating to other types of heat supply systems. Owners of single and multifamily buildings can apply for the investment subsidy. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Property management and maintenance in the multifamily housing sector in Sweden

    Författare :Henry Muyingo; Hans Lind; Stefan Olander; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Property management; housing maintenance; tenant-owner; cooperative housing; maintenance planning; incentives; bostadsrätt; fastighetsförvaltning; fastighetsunderhåll; underhållsplanering; incitament; bostadsrättsförening; Fastigheter och byggande; Real Estate and Construction Management;

    Sammanfattning : Several studies and government reports have indicated that a large number of apartments in Sweden built during the 1960s and 1970s require extensive refurbishment and that there is concern that some companies in the rental housing sector and in the tenant-owner cooperative (TOC) sector may have difficulties carrying out the needed activities. The overall purpose of the thesis is to increase the understanding of the factors that influence the decisions made within the multi faceted property management of multifamily housing in Sweden which would mitigate some of the shortcomings. Sammanfattning : Increased energy performance of the building stock of European Union is seen as an important measure towards mitigating climate change, increasing resource utilisation efficiency and energy supply security. Whether to improve the supply-side, the demand-side or both is an open issue. LÄS MER
