  1. 1. Multi-Layered User Interface Design

    Författare :Linn Gustafsson Christiernin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis work we focus on further developing and redefining an interface design concept especially adapted to consider the needs and the knowledge level of many individual users, at once taking the tasks they perform and their learning into careful consideration. The design concept, called Multi-Layered Design (or a Level-structured approach, sometimes even called a spiral approach), was first suggested by Ben Schneiderman in 1998 and then further explored during 1999 to 2003. Författare :Sara Mahmoud; Serge Thill; Henrik Svensson; Erik Billing; Alessandro Di Nuovo; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Artificial cognitive systems; AI; self-driving cars; cognitive paradigms; emergent paradigm; curriculum learning; embodiment; enaction; Interaction Lab ILAB ; Interaction Lab ILAB ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines Cognitively Inspired Design (CID), which is the process of transferring cognitive science frameworks and theories to intelligent systems in an application context. The thesis studies the relation between cognitive science and the traditional approach to developing systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Functional Performance of Gadolinium Zirconate/Yttria Stabilized Zirconia Multi-Layered Thermal Barrier Coatings

    Författare :Satyapal Mahade; Per Nylén; Nicolaie Markocsan; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Erosion; Gadolinium Zirconate; Suspension Plasma Spray; Thermal Barrier Coatings; Thermal Cyclic Test; Thermal Conductivity; Yttria Stabilized Zirconia; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) is the state of the art ceramic top coat material used for TBC applications. The desire to achieve a higher engine efficiency of agas turbine engine by increasing the turbine inlet temperature has pushed YSZ toits upper limit. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Functional Performance of Gadolinium Zirconate/Yttria Stabilized Zirconia Multi-Layered Thermal Barrier Coatings

    Författare :Satyapal Mahade; Per Nylén; Nicolaie Markocsan; Ping Xiao; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Composite; Erosion; Gadolinium Zirconate; Suspension Plasma Spray; Thermal Barrier Coatings; Thermal Cyclic Test; Thermal Conductivity; Yttria Stabilized Zirconia.; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) is the state-of-the-art ceramic top coat material used for thermal barrier coating (TBC) applications. Demand for higher efficiency in gas turbine engines has led to a continuous increase in the gas in let temperature. However, this increase in temperature has pushed YSZ to its upper limit. LÄS MER
