  1. 21. Combining Task and Motion Planning

    Författare :Fabien Lagriffoul; Alessandro Saffiotti; Lars Karlsson; Malik Ghallab; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Datavetenskap; Computer Science;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the problem of automatically computing, given a high-level goal description, a sequence of actions and motion paths for one or several robots to achieve that goal. Also referred to as CTAMP (Combining Task And Motion Planning), this problem may seem trivial at first glance, since efficient solutions have been found for its two underlying problems, namely task planning and motion planning. 2. 22. The Physical Foundation of the Patterning of Physical Action Verbs : A Study of Chinese Verbs

    Författare :Hong Gao; Allmän språkvetenskap; []

    Sammanfattning : This work is a study of verbal semantics with a focus on the discussion and illustration of the role of body parts and the semantic incorporation into verbal roots of the actions that involve various body parts. Following a general discussion of the basic issues of language construction and human body actions with the image schemas of force-dynamics presented in line with the framework of cognitive semantics, it is argued that the event structures of physical action verbs are not arbitrarily constructed but rather the constructions are built through systematic cognitive processes in relation to both human physical reality and concrete reality in the world. 3. 23. Sensor-based knowledge- and data-driven methods : A case of Parkinson’s disease motor symptoms quantification

    Författare :Somayeh Aghanavesi; Mark Dougherty; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Parkinson’s disease; motion sensors; motor symptoms; smartphone; microdata; multivariate analysis; data-driven; knowledge-driven; support vector machine stepwise regression; predictive models; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis; Komplexa system - mikrodataanalys;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to develop and evaluate new knowledge- and data-driven methods for supporting treatment and providing information for better assessment of Parkinson’s disease (PD).PD is complex and progressive. There is a large amount of inter- and intravariability in motor symptoms of patients with PD (PwPD). LÄS MER

  4. 24. Tracking the Wanders of Nature

    Författare :Clas Veibäck; Gustaf Hendeby; Fredrik Gustafsson; Hans Driessen; Linköpings universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Target tracking is a mature topic with over half a century of mainly military and aviation research. The field has lately expanded into a range of civilian applications due to the development of cheap sensors and improved computational power. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Diffusion MRI with generalised gradient waveforms : methods, models, and neuroimaging applications

    Författare :Deneb Boito; Evren Özarslan; Magnus Herberthson; Anders Eklund; Ida Blystad; Frederik Laun; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Diffusion; Diffusion MRI; Microstructure; Brain; White matter; Microscopic anisotropy; Constrained optimisation;

    Sammanfattning : The incessant, random motion of water molecules within biological tissues reveals unique information about the tissues’ structural and functional characteristics. Diffusion magnetic resonance imaging is sensitive to this random motion, and since the mid-1990s it has been extensively employed for studying the human brain. LÄS MER
