  2. 2. Successful Principal Leadership: : Prerequisites, Processes and Outcomes

    Författare :Monika Törnsén; Olof Johansson; Ingrid Nilsson; Ulf P. Lundgren; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; success; principal; successful school; frame factor model; prerequisite; process; outcome; pedagogical leadership; equivalence; Education; Pedagogik; pedagogik; Education;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis' main theme is successful principal leadership in secondary schools within the Swedish education system. Successful principal leadership is examined from three perspectives: What are the processes of a successful principal? Do the leadership processes relate to successful academic and social outcomes of schools? What are the prerequisites for successful principal leadership? The Frame Factor Model and the three concepts of prerequisites, processes and outcomes constitute an overarching framework. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Managing knowledge sharing of extreme weather induced impacts on land transport infrastructure : Case study of the Swedish Transport Administration

    Författare :Monika Rydstedt Nyman; Lars Nyberg; Magnus Johansson; Eva Liljegren; Peter Söderholm; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lessons learned; risk management; climate change adaptation; accident investigation method; extreme weather events; natural hazard; land transport infrastructure; maintenance; lärande; kunskapsåterföring; risk hantering; klimatanpassning; olycksutredningsmetod; naturolyckor; landtransport infrastruktur; underhåll; Risk and Environmental Studies; Risk- och Miljöstudier;

    Sammanfattning : Extreme weather events and effects of climate change are threats to the transport sector’s functionality and safety. Risk management in this context implies a necessity to focus on the connection between near-term experiences and coping strategies on one hand, and long-term adaptation analyses on the other. 4. 4. Organizational Lessons Learned : Natural Hazards Affecting Critical Infrastructure

    Författare :Monika Rydstedt Nyman; Lars Nyberg; Magnus Johansson; Eva Liljegren; Henrik Tehler; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; natural hazards; critical infrastructure; feedback; lessons learned; collective learning; memory building; Risk and Environmental Studies; Risk- och Miljöstudier;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on an issue often presented as a solution – albeit a debated one – namely learning, specifically lessons learned from natural hazard events. Empirically, this thesis examines flooding and avalanches in a Swedish context, centering on systematic feedback mechanisms and learning from extreme events. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development of LC-MS/MS Methods for the Analysis of Chiral and Achiral Pharmaceuticals and Metabolites in Aqueous Environmental Matrices

    Författare :Victoria K.H. Barclay; Curt Pettersson; Monika Johansson; Niklas Tyrefors; Mohamed Abdel-Rehim; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Environmental water matrices; chiral separation; LC-MS MS; trace analysis; method development; active pharmaceutical ingredients; metabolites; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the development of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) methods for the trace analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and their metabolites in aqueous environmental matrices. The research was focused on the development of chiral LC-MS/MS methods for the analysis of fluoxetine and metoprolol, as well as their chiral metabolites in environmental water samples. LÄS MER
