  1. 11. Taxonomy and Phylogeny of Catenulida (Platyhelminthes) with Emphasis on the Swedish Fauna

    Författare :Karolina Larsson; Ulf Jondelius; Lena Gustavsson; Isabell Sanmartin; Tom Artois; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Biology; taxonomy; phylogeny; molecular phylogenies; cryptic species; micro-invertebrate; Biologi; Catenulida; Platyhelminthes;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on phylogenetic and taxonomic studies of Catenulida (Platyhelminthes). Catenulida is a group of microscopic free-living worms mainly found in freshwater habitats. The Swedish catenulid fauna was previously virtually unknown. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Plant and microbial xyloglucanases: Function, Structure and Phylogeny

    Författare :Jens Eklöf; Harry Brumer; Harry Gilbert; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; xyloglucan; xyloglucanases; XTH; XET; XEH; endoglucanases; EG16; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, enzymes acting on the primary cell wall hemicellulose xyloglucan are studied.  Xyloglucans are ubiquitous in land plants which make them an important polysaccharide to utilise for microbes and a potentially interesting raw material for various industries. 3. 13. Gastrotricha of Sweden - Biodiversity and Phylogeny

    Författare :Tobias Kånneby; Ulf Jondelius; M. Antonio Todaro; Sven Boström; Rick Hochberg; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; taxonomy; systematics; phylogeny; new species; cryptic species; Chaetonotidae; Dasydytidae; Thaumastodermatidae; Systematic Zoology; zoologisk systematik och evolutionsforskning; Livets mångfald;

    Sammanfattning : Gastrotricha are small aquatic invertebrates with approximately 770 known species. The group has a cosmopolitan distribution and is currently classified into two orders, Chaetonotida and Macrodasyida. The gastrotrich fauna of Sweden is poorly known: a couple of years ago only 29 species had been reported. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Phylogeny and Taxonomy of Childia (Acoela) : New characters for unraveling acoel phylogenies from molecules, ultrastructure, immunocytochemistry and confocal microscopy

    Författare :Yonas Isaak Tekle; Ulf Jondelius; Mikael Thollesson; Isabel Sanmartin; Kennet Lundin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biology; Childiidae; Childia; Paraphanostoma; Acoela; phylogeny; taxonomy; morphology; 18S rRNA; 28S rRNA; Histone H3; ultrastructure; confocal; phalloidin; immunocytochemistry; Biologi; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a comprehensive phylogenetic and taxonomic study of an acoel subgroup, the Childiidae. Members of this taxon are characterized by well-developed male copulatory organs with conical/cylindrical stylets. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Molecular phylogeny of tyrant flycatchers, cotingas, manakins and their allies (Aves: Tyrannida)

    Författare :Jan I. Ohlson; Per G. P. Ericson; Cristina Y. Miyaki; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Suboscines; Tyrannida; Tyrannidae; Cotingidae; Pipridae; South America; phylogeny; evolution; adaptive radiation; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Systematic Zoology; zoologisk systematik och evolutionsforskning;

    Sammanfattning : Tyrannida is a monophyletic clade that together with Furnariida constitutes the New World suboscines. The ca 560 species in Tyrannida are traditionally divided between three families: Tyrannidae (tyrant flycatchers), Cotingidae (cotingas) and Pipridae (manakins). LÄS MER
