11. Impregnation of Leaf Tissues and its Consequences on Metabolism and Freezing; Study on Vacuum Impregnation and Pulsed Electric Field Treatment
Sammanfattning : Freezing is a widely used method of preserving food products. Efforts are currently being directed towards improving the quality of the sensitive tissues of plant foods such as leaves, after freezing and thawing. LÄS MER
12. Digital dentistry : studies on the trueness and precision of additive manufacturing and intraoral scanning
Sammanfattning : Artificial designs and features usually control production workflowsin the industry. The operator has the freedom to adapt designs toachieve the desired function; when the operator is satisfied, massproduction of the two objects is possible. LÄS MER
13. Improving Productivity and Enzyme Stability Through Process Design: Lipase-catalysed Synthesis of Epoxides and Esters
Sammanfattning : Interest in sustainable development has increased throughout society during the past decades, and the chemical industry is no exception. The appeal for renewable raw materials has consequently increased and has paved the way for the implementation of industrial biotechnology. LÄS MER
14. Positioning Biopsy Needles in the Prostate Gland Using 3D Computer Modelling
Sammanfattning : In the world of medicine, image diagnostics have, until recently, been based merely on two dimensional information sources. The understanding of three dimensional structures has been limited to creating mental images in the mind of the physician, to wax models and to autopsy. LÄS MER
15. From emission sources to human tissues: modelling the exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances
Sammanfattning : Produced since the 1950’s, per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFASs) substances are persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic compounds that are ubiquitous in the environment. Being proteinophilic with a tendency to partition to protein-rich tissues, PFASs have been found in human serum worldwide and in wildlife with a predominance of long-chain perfluoroalkyl carboxilic acids (C7-C14 PFCAs) and perfluoroalkyl sulfonic acids (C6-C9 PFSAs).
