  1. 1. Governing Development : The Millennium Development Goals and Gender Policy Change in Sub-Saharan Africa

    Författare :Helena Hede Skagerlind; Jonas Tallberg; Kristina Jönsson; Jeffrey Checkel; Mathias Koenig-Archibugi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Millennium Development Goals; sustainable development; gender equality; human rights; performance indicators; United Nations; Sub-Saharan Africa; Kenya; Ethiopia; economic conditionality; social influence; Political Science; statsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Recent decades have witnessed an upsurge in the use of different forms of global performance assessments as a means to influence the behavior of states. Within the area of international development, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) reinforced the practice of development governance through global performance indicators (GPIs) and gained considerable agenda-setting power among the international development community. 2. 2. Fluid Mechanics of Vertical Axis Turbines : Simulations and Model Development

    Författare :Anders Goude; Olov Ågren; Carlos Simão Ferreira; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Wind power; Marine current power; Vertical axis turbine; Wind farm; Channel flow; Simulations; Vortex model; Streamtube model; Control system; Graphics processing unit; CUDA; Fast multipole method; Engineering Science with specialization in Science of Electricity; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektricitetslära;

    Sammanfattning : Two computationally fast fluid mechanical models for vertical axis turbines are the streamtube and the vortex model. The streamtube model is the fastest, allowing three-dimensional modeling of the turbine, but lacks a proper time-dependent description of the flow through the turbine. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Managing Collaborative Product Development : A Model for Identifying Key Factors in Product Development Projects

    Författare :Sofi Elfving; Mats Jackson; Björn Fagerström; Lars Bengtsson; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :Collaborative product development; Integrated product development; Concurrent engineering; Product development; Product design; Collaboration; Integration; Communication; Key factors; Decision-making; Knowledge transfer; Experience reuse; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing complexity of products and systems today has forced new processes, methods, and tools for managing the development of products. It has also forced the development of complex organisations and diverse relationships among functions and peoples within product development organisations. This implies a need for integrated processes. LÄS MER

  4. 4. States of Development : Essays on the Political Economy of Development in Asia
