16. Development of a geometallurgical framework for iron ores - A mineralogical approach to particle-based modeling
Sammanfattning : The demands for efficient utilization of ore bodies and proper risk management in the mining industry have resulted in a new cross-disciplinary subject called geometallurgy. Geometallurgy connects geological, mineral processing and subsequent downstream processing information together to provide a comprehensive model to be used in production planning and management. 17. Optimization Capabilities for Crushing Plants
Sammanfattning : Responsible production and minimal consumption of resources are becoming competitive factors in the industry. The aggregates and minerals processing industries consist of multiple heavy mechanized industrial processes handling large volumes of materials and are energy-intensive. LÄS MER
18. Theoretical Optimization of Compressive Crushing
Sammanfattning : Surrounded by products made from crushed rock materials in all corners of society, most people do not spend much time thinking about when, where, or how these are produced. In fact, most people take the supply and availability of products made from crushed rock materials for granted. LÄS MER
19. Physicochemical studies of oxide zinc mineral flotation
Sammanfattning : At the present, zinc is produced mostly from zinc sulphide ores because the sulphides are easy to separate from the gangue and to concentrate by conventional flotation techniques but in the case of oxide zinc ores, the recovery of zinc is not enough high. The objective of the present study is to investigate the influence of different cationic, anionic and mixed collectors on the flotation of smithsonite mineral and an oxide zinc ore at various concentrations and pH values. 20. Reprocessing historical tailings for possible remediation and recovery of critical metals and minerals : The Yxsjöberg case
Sammanfattning : With increasing consumption of primary mineral resources, the generation of mining wastes has also increased thus requiring the mining industry to address the growing environmental concerns. Waste rock and tailings are potential secondary sources of critical raw materials currently in short supply in the European Union, but also a source for environmental issues like acid mine drainage.
