  1. 1. Anaerobic Digestion of Wastewaters from Pulp and Paper Mills : A Substantial Source for Biomethane Production in Sweden

    Författare :Madeleine Larsson; Anna Karlsson; Bo H. Svensson; David Bastviken; Thomas Welander; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; NATURVETENSKAP; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; NATURAL SCIENCES; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; Anaerobic digestion; wastewater treatment; biogas; methane; pulp and paper mill wastewater; pulp bleaching; wood raw material; Anaerob nedbrytning; vattenrening; biogas; metan; avloppsvatten från pappers- och massaindustrin; massablekning; träråvara;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish pulp and paper industry is the third largest exporter of pulp and paper products worldwide. It is a highly energy-demanding and water-utilising industry, which generates large volumes of wastewater rich in organic material. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Landfill Mining : Institutional challenges for the implementation of resource extraction from waste deposits

    Författare :Nils Johansson; Joakim Krook; Mats Eklund; Myra Hird; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Landfill mining; recycling; mineral policy; institutions; transitions; mining.;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis is to examine the institutional conditions for the implementation and emergence of landfill mining. The result shows that  current policy makes it difficult for landfill mining operators to find a market outlet for the exhumed material, which means that landfill mining may result in a waste disposal problem. Författare :Malin Montelius; David Bastviken; Teresia Svensson; Katarina Abrahamsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; NATURAL SCIENCES; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; Chloride; organic chlorine; chlorination; dechlorination; 36Cl; risk assessment modelling; Klorid; organiskt klor; klorering; deklorering; klor-36; riskmodellering;

    Sammanfattning : Chlorinated organic compounds (Clorg) are produced naturally in soil. Formation and degradation of Clorg affect the chlorine (Cl) cycling in terrestrial environments and chlorine can be retained or released from soil. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The world-wide intensification of agriculture has led to a decline in species richness due to land use change, isolation, and fragmentation of natural and semi-natural habitats in agricultural and forestry landscapes. As a consequence, there is a current landscape management focus on the importance of green infrastructure to mitigate biodiversity decline and preserve ecosystem functions e. LÄS MER
