    Sammanfattning : In this thesis I examine the possibility of critically using material from contemporary emotion theory to develop a fruitful model for understanding the potential epistemic relevance of emotions in religious contexts. The relevance of this thesis is mainly twofold: since religion is an emotional phenomenon, the possible normative epistemic role of emotions needs to be examined. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation's purpose is to test the hypothesis that beliefs in the possibility of post-mortem survival can be rationally held within the context of the contemporary scientific and philosophical environment. In terms of criteria of rationality, a basic evidentialism is assumed, such that propositions which are sufficiently supported by the available evidence can be rationally held.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to reconstruct and evaluate two types of responses to an evidential argument from divine hiding, namely the ‘value agnostic’ response and the ‘theodicy’ response.
