   Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns and combines the results of experimental studies of magnetocaloric, multiferroic and spin-glass materials, using SQUID magnetometry as the main characteriza-tion technique. The magnetocaloric effect offers an interesting new technology for cooling and heating applications.
