  1. 1. White matter pathology in normal pressure hydrocephalus and subcortical arteriosclerotic encephalopathy. Clinical, CSF and MRI aspects

    Författare :Mats Tullberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Normal pressure hydrocephalus; Subcortical arteriosclerotic encephalopathy; MRI; White matter changes; Cerebrospinal fluid; Sulfatide; Neurofilament protein;

    Sammanfattning : Normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) and subcortical arteriosclerotic encephalopathy (SAE) are common causes of gait disturbance, cognitive impairment and urinary incontinence in the elderly. In spite of a primarily different pathogenesis with a potentially reversible CSF dynamic disturbance in NPH and an irreversible microangiopathy in SAE, patients with NPH and SAE can present with similar symptoms and exhibit white matter changes that are difficult to distinguish, constituting a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. 2. 2. Gait Characteristics, Physical Activity and Subjective Outcome after Shunt Surgery in Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

    Författare :Johanna Rydja; Fredrik Lundin; Petra Pohl; Mats Tullberg; Erika Franzén; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Normal pressure hydrocephalus; Gait; Physical activity; Subjective outcome; Shunt surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Background  Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) is a common but under-diagnosed disease among the elderly. The condition is characterised by gait disturbance, postural instability, cognitive decline and incontinence, caused by accumulated cerebrospinal fluid within the central nerve system. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Machine Learning for Wireless Link Adaptation : Supervised and Reinforcement Learning Theory and Algorithms

    Författare :Vidit Saxena; Joakim Jaldén; Mats Bengtsson; Hugo Tullberg; Jakob Hoydis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wireless Communications; Reinforcement Learning; Multi-Armed Bandits; Thompson Sampling; Convex Optimization; Deep Learning; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Wireless data communication is a complex phenomenon. Wireless links encounter random, time-varying, channel effects that are challenging to predict and compensate. Hence, to optimally utilize the channel, wireless links adapt the data transmission parameters in real time. LÄS MER
