8. Aeroacoustics Studies of Duct Branches with Application to Silencers
Sammanfattning : New methodologies and concepts for developing compact and energy efficient automotive exhaust systems have been studied. This originates in the growing concern for global warming, to which road transportation is a major contributor. LÄS MER
9. Using airborne eDNA to study ecosystem dynamics
Sammanfattning : In this era of global biodiversity crisis, the need to monitor ecological communities over space and time is more pressing than ever to effectively direct biodiversity conservation and management efforts. To understand the natural dynamics of an ecosystem, and the impact of anthropogenic activities related to environmental and climate change, long time series are needed to accurately link such processes to ecosystem change. 10. Lipoproteomics : A New Approach to the Identification and Characterization of Proteins in LDL and HDL
Sammanfattning : A proteomic approach was applied to examine the protein composition of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in humans. LDL and HDL were isolated by density gradient ultracentrifugation, and proteins were separated with twodimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and identified with peptide mass fingerprinting, using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry, and with amino acid sequencing using electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry.
