1. Applications of Deep Learning in Medical Image Analysis : Grading of Prostate Cancer and Detection of Coronary Artery Disease
Sammanfattning : A wide range of medical examinations are using analysis of images from different types of equipment. Using artificial intelligence, the assessments could be done automatically. LÄS MER
2. Data-Efficient Learning of Semantic Segmentation
Sammanfattning : Semantic segmentation is a fundamental problem in visual perception with a wide range of applications ranging from robotics to autonomous vehicles, and recent approaches based on deep learning have achieved excellent performance. However, to train such systems there is in general a need for very large datasets of annotated images. LÄS MER
3. Analysis of Medical Images : Registration, Segmentation and Classification
Sammanfattning : A large number of medical examinations involve images in some way. Images can be used for diagnostics, follow-up studies and treatment planning. In this thesis mathematical methods have been developed and adapted in order to analyze medical images. LÄS MER
4. Computer Vision for Automated Traffic Safety Assessment : A Machine Learning Approach
Sammanfattning : Traffic safety is a complex and important research area with the potential to save many lives in the future. Two key problems are considered, namely the gathering of reliable and detailed road user statistics which can be used to estimate the safety of a traffic environment and taking advantage of surveillance infrastructure to guide and assist vehicles in real time, primarily autonomous ones. 5. Computer Vision without Vision : Methods and Applications of Radio and Audio Based SLAM
Sammanfattning : The central problem of this thesis is estimating receiver-sender node positions from measured receiver-sender distances or equivalent measurements. This problem arises in many applications such as microphone array calibration, radio antenna array calibration, mapping and positioning using ultra-wideband and mapping and positioning using round-trip-time measurements between mobile phones and Wi-Fi-units.
