1. Mars : plasma environment and surface hydrology
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis treats parts of the solar wind interaction with the Martian atmosphere and the water-related features known as gullies. The composition of the escaping plasma at Mars has been investigated in an analysis of data from the IMA sensor, which is a part of the ASPERA-3 instrument suit onboard the European satellite Mars Express. 2.
Sammanfattning : In this licentiate thesis, I study how young people from two different countries, Sweden and the Gambia, learn music in interaction with each other within the context of a concert project carried out in the Gambia. This study in music education is inspired by ethnomusicology and anthropology. LÄS MER
4. Ion escape from Mars : measurements in the present to understand the past
Sammanfattning : Present-day Mars is a cold and dry planet with a thin CO2-dominated atmosphere comprising only a few mbar pressure at low altitudes. However, the Martian surface is marked with valley networks, hydrated mineral clays, carbonates and the remains of deltas and meandering rivers, i.e. LÄS MER
5. Ion escape from Mars
Sammanfattning : When the solar wind reaches the Mars obstacle, mass loading by planetary ions slows down the solar wind and raises the bow shock. The Martian atmosphere is undergoing the a scavenging by the solar wind without the protection of a global magnetic field. Atmospheric escape is an important process for the evolution of the Martian climate. LÄS MER
