The primary purpose of the study is to evaluate, from a democratic perspective, the Swedish legislative process concerned with medical gene technology ? an archetypal case where the decision-making processes involve a marked level of expertise. Despite the known angiogenic functions of each individual factor, the interplay between these angiogenic factors in the tumor local environment and in modulation of the host functions remain poorly understood.     Sammanfattning : There is an increasing interest for nanomaterials in bio-medical applications and in this work, nanoparticles of gadolinium oxide (Gd2O3 ) have been investigated as a novel contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
