Sammanfattning : Cardiac pumping physiology is important for understanding the pathophysiology of patients with cardiac disease. MRI gives the opportunity to measure volumes and flow non-invasively with high accuracy and precision. This thesis examines some aspects on cardiac pumping physiology. LÄS MER
2. Topics in Complex Analysis and Operator Theory I. The shift operator on spaces of vector-valued analytic functions II. Fatou-type theorems for general approximate identities III. Preduals of Q_p-spaces
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of six articles on three different subjects in the area of complex analysis, operator theory and harmonic analysis. Part I - "The Shift Operator on Spaces of Vector-valued Analytic Functions" consists of three closely connected articles that investigate certain operators in the Cowen-Douglas class with spectrum D - the unit disc, or equivalently, the shift operator M_z (multiplication by $z$) on Hilbert spaces of vector-valued analytic functions on D. Sammanfattning : Interactions between light and a molecule can result in reversible or irreversible changes in properties of both the light and the molecule. Of the many known interactions, nonlinear absorption is a process in which an intense light signal, for instance from a laser, can be moderated. LÄS MER
4. Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Heart : Image quality, measurement accuracy and patient experience
Sammanfattning : Background: Non-invasive diagnostic imaging of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (CAD) is frequently carried out with cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) or myocardial perfusion single photon emission computed tomography (MPS). CMR is the gold standard for the evaluation of scar after myocardial infarction and MPS the clinical gold standard for ischemia. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : Psoriasis is a chronic, immunological and systemic disease with an estimated prevalence of about 2-3 percent. Psoriasis is associated with the joint disease psoriasis arthropathy. There are several treatments options available for psoriasis and patients with moderate to severe psoriasis generally need systemic agents. LÄS MER
