16. Implementation of MRI gel dosimetry in radiation therapy
Sammanfattning : Gel dosimetry was used together with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to measure three-dimensional absorbed dose distributions in radiation therapy. Two different dosimeters were studied: ferrous- and monomer gel, based on the principles of radiation-induced oxidation and polymerisation, respectively. LÄS MER
17. 3D Verification of Dynamic and Breathing Adapted Radiotherapy using Polymer Gel Dosimetry
Sammanfattning : Polymer gel dosimetry has been used since the 1990s, and several studies have shown that this detector system can be used for verification of static absorbed dose distributions in three dimensions (3D). Its unique properties, such as high resolution, normal tissue equivalence and independency of energy, field size and direction of the incident radiation, should also be advantageous for dosimetric verification of radiotherapy using today’s and tomorrow’s dynamic delivery techniques. 18. Household salt as an emergency radiation dosemeter for retrospective dose assessments using optically stimulated luminescence
Sammanfattning : In the event of a radiation accident, it is crucial to make rapid estimates of the absorbed dose received by both emergency workers, so-called first responders, and members of the public. Today, only personnel in rescue teams responding to nuclear emergencies have access to individual dosemeters. LÄS MER
19. Cross-modal Imaging in Lung Research: From µCT dosimetry to synchrotron phase contrast microtomography biomechanical insights in preclinical lung injury models
Sammanfattning : Lung diseases continue to present a large burden to public health, especially in industrialized countries. For abetter understanding of the underlying patho-mechanisms in lung related diseases as well as for testing theefficacy of novel therapies, preclinical studies in animal models are indispensable.
