   Sammanfattning : Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) comprising Crohn s disease and ulcerative colitis is a disease that affects millions of people worldwide, especially in northern countries such as Sweden, and is characterised by chronic uncontrolled inflammation of the intestinal mucosa.
