  1. 1. The morselized and impacted bone graft. Animal experiments on proteins, impaction and load

    Författare :Magnus Tägil; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; traumatology; orthopaedics; Surgery; load; growth factors; graft healing; remodeling; allograft; Impaction grafting; morselized graft; Kirurgi; ortopedi; traumatologi; Immunology; serology; transplantation; Immunologi; serologi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the healing and remodeling of the morselized and impacted bone allograft, commonly used in revision of loosened hip prostheses with osteolysis. The influence on remodeling by the impaction procedure per se was analyzed, as well as the effects of endogenous bone graft proteins, and an exogenously applied growth factor (OP-1). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Distal radius fractures AO type C : A clinical and radiographic investigation

    Författare :Eva Lundqvist; Per Wretenberg; Marcus Sagerfors; Per Fischer; Magnus Tägil; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Distal radius fracture; patient-reported outcome measures; functional outcome; radiographic outcome; plating; volar locking plate; combined plating; surgical treatment; post-traumatic arthritis; wrist;

    Sammanfattning : The function of the hand is of substantial importance, and injuries have an impact on daily life. Distal radius fracture (DRF) is the most common fracture among adults. The annual incidence is 26 per 10,000 inhabitants, and the incidence is increasing because of an aging population. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Periulnar Injuries Associated with Distal Radius Fractures

    Författare :Johan Scheer; Adolfsson Lars; Magnus Tägil; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Triangular fibrocartilage complex; Distal radius fractures; Wrist injuries; Distal radioulnar joint; Ulnocarpal stability; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Residual dysfunction after a fracture of the distal radius is most often mild but may give rise to significant impairment especially in the younger active population. The symptoms often manifest around the distal ulna when loading the hand or rotating the forearm. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Distal Radius Fractures : aspects on radiological and clinical outcome and evaluation of a new classification system

    Författare :Mats Wadsten; Göran Sjödén; Magnus Tägil; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Distal radius fracture; Buttazzoni classification; volar; comminution; reliability; radiological outcome; clinical outcome; late displacement; Orthopaedics; ortopedi;

    Sammanfattning : Distal radius fracture (DRF) is the most common fracture encountered in clinical practice. Every year, more than 20000 people in Sweden suffer from this injury. It has been shown that there is a correlation between malalignment and function following distal radial fractures and malunion may cause persistent pain and disability. LÄS MER
