  1. 11. Evaluation of energy conserving measures in buildings connected to a district heating system : case studies in Gävle, Sweden

    Författare :Mattias Gustafsson; Björn Karlsson; Magnus Åberg; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energieffektivisering; miljonprogrammet; solceller;

    Sammanfattning : When different energy conserving measures are implemented for reducing energy use in buildings and the buildings are connected to district heating systems, it is important that an overall system analysis is made which takes into account the effects of total change of energy use due to the energy conserving measures.The method applied in this thesis uses hourly production data for the different production units in the district heating system in Gävle, Sweden. 2. 12. Multi-platform metabolomics assays to study the responsiveness of the human plasma and lung lavage metabolome

    Författare :Masoumeh Karimpour; Malin Nording L.; Magnus Åberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; LC MS; GC MS; NMR; metabolomics; metabolite; exposure; postprandial; plasma; lung lavage; BW; BW; data analysis; univariate analysis; multivariate analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Metabolomics as a field has been used to track changes and perturbations in the human body by investigating metabolite profiles indicating the change of metabolite levels over time and in response to different challenges. In this thesis work, the main focus was on applying multiplatform-metabolomics to study the human metabolome following exposure to perturbations, such as diet (in the form of a challenge meal) and exhaust emissions (air pollution exposure in a controlled setting). 3. 13. An integrated approach to study pharmaceuticals and their microbial transformation products: formation and environmental behavior in water/sediment systems

    Författare :Zhe Li; Michael Radke; Anna Sobek; Magnus Åberg; Urs Berger; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Applied Environmental Science; tillämpad miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Pharmaceuticals are emerging organic micropollutants that are frequently detected in the aquatic environment. While information on their environmental occurrence is substantial, knowledge gaps exist with respect to their environmental transformation. LÄS MER

  4. 14. A techno-economic system approach for the energy renovation of residential districts built before 1945

    Författare :Vlatko Milic; Bahram Moshfegh; Patrik Rohdin; Klas Ekelöw; Maria Andersson; Magnus Åberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : A key factor in the quest for sustainable development worldwide is reducing the energy use and greenhouse gas emissions from residential buildings. The residential and service sector represent 39% of the final energy use in Sweden. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Modelling District Heating Network Costs

    Författare :Luis Sánchez-García; Urban Persson; Helge Averfalk; Erik Möllerström; Marcus Thern; Magnus Åberg; Sweden Lund Lund University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; District Heating; Pipe network; Cost analysis; Distribution Capital Cost; Effective Width; Plot Ratio; Heat Density; GIS; Smart Cities and Communities; Smarta städer och samhällen;

    Sammanfattning : The solution of the undergoing climate and energy crises requires a radical transformation of the energy system, in which sustainability, no carbon emissions and energy efficiency ought to play a paramount role. This revolution should extend to all areas of the energy system, including the space heating and cooling sector, which accounts for a third of the European final energy demand and, in the European continent, it is still mostly supplied by fossil fuels.
