    Författare :Felicia Seemann; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Kardiovaskulär magnetresonanstomografi; Fysiologi; Atrioventrikulär klaffplansrörlighet; Mitralisflöde; Tryck-volym loopar; Kraft-längd loopar; Cardiovascular magnetic resonance; Physiology; Atrioventricular plane displacement; Transmitral flow; pressure-volume loops; Ventricular force-length loops;

    Sammanfattning : The assessment of cardiovascular physiology is crucial to facilitate clinical diagnostics, treatment, and research. Physiology and anatomy can be assessed noninvasively using cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), a versatile and reliable medical imaging modality free from ionizing radiation. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Hepatobiliary System Using Hepatocyte-Specific Contrast Media

    Författare :Nils Dahlström; Örjan Smedby; Torkel Brismar; Anders Ynnerman; Lennart Blomqvist; Linköpings universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : There are two Gadolinium-based liver-specific contrast media for Magnetic Resonance Imaging on the market, Gd-BOPTA (MultiHance®, Bracco Imaging, Milan, Italy) and Gd-EOB-DTPA (Primovist®, Bayer Schering Pharma, Berlin, Germany). The aim of this study in two parts was to evaluate the dynamics of biliary, parenchymal and vascular enhancement using these contrast media in healthy subjects. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Blood flow assessment in cerebral arteries with 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging : an automatic atlas-based approach

    Författare :Tora Dunås; Anders Eklund; Anders Wåhlin; Jan Malm; Einar Heiberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; Circle of Willis; 4D flow MRI; Cerebral arteries; Vascular disease; Stroke; Automatic labeling; Probabilistic atlas; Cerebral blood flow; Neuroimaging; Magnetic Resonance Imaging;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Disturbed blood flow to the brain has been associated with several neurological diseases, from stroke and vascular diseases to Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline. To determine the cerebral arterial blood flow distribution, measurements are needed in both distal and proximal arteries. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Throughout the last century, medical imaging has come to revolutionise the way we diagnose disease, and is today an indispensable part of virtually any clinical practice. In cardiovascular care imaging is extensively utilised, and the development of novel techniques promises refined diagnostic abilities: ultrasound elastography allows for constitutive tissue assessment, 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enables full-field flow mapping, and micro-Computed Tomography (CT) permits high-resolution imaging at pre-clinical level.
