16. On efficient and adaptive modelling of friction damping in bladed disks
Sammanfattning : This work focuses on efficient modelling and adaptive control of friction damping in bladed disks. To efficiently simulate the friction contact, a full-3D time-discrete contact model is reformulated and an analytical expression for the Jacobian matrix is derived that reduces the computation time drastically with respect to the classical finite difference method. 17. Optimization of resonant all-dielectric nanoparticles for optical manipulation and light management
Sammanfattning : The resonant interaction between light and matter lies at the heart of nanophotonics research. In particular, nanoparticles that possess optical resonances in the visible spectral range have been avidly studied and employed for various technical and biological applications in the last two decades. 18. Hemodynamic assessment in patients with congenital heart disease using magnetic resonance imaging
Sammanfattning : Around 1000 children are born with a heart disease in Sweden every year and today most of these children survive and reach adult age. There are around 2.3 million grownups with congenital heart disease in Europe today, a number that is expected to continue to increase. LÄS MER
19. On the System Optimization of Magnetic Circuit with Alternative Permanent Magnets and its Demagnetization
Sammanfattning : Permanent magnet (PM) machines are often associated with the usage of rare earth magnets, due to their high energy density. One such rare earth magnet is the neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB), which is mainly produced in China. Due to the global scarcity of the rare earth magnets, much interest is put into utilizing other permanent magnet materials. LÄS MER
20. Synchrotron X-ray Scattering and Monte Carlo Simulations of Structure and Forces in Silicate Nanoplatelet Dispersions
Sammanfattning : Clays are the world’s most widely used natural material, however, little is known regarding the microstructure as well as the forces involved in clay-water interactions, and their influence on the swelling properties. The utilization of clay platelets is nowadays a key in a number of biological and industrial applications e.g. LÄS MER
