  1. 16. Informationsdesign i tillståndsövervakning : En studie av ett bildskärmsbaserat användargränssnitt för tillståndsövervakning och tillståndsbaserat underhåll

    Författare :Carina Andersson; Yvonne Eriksson; Björn Fagerström; Karin Wagner; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; human-computer interaction; information design; user interface design; visual communication; människa-datorinteraktion; informationsdesign; gränssnittsdesign; visuell kommunikation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Image analysis; Bildanalys; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : This research concerns the information design and visual design of graphical user interfaces (GUI) in the condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance (CBM) of production equipment. It also concerns various communicative aspects of a GUI, which is used to monitor the condition of assets. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Storyforming : Experiments in creating discursive engagements between people, things and environments

    Författare :Loove Broms; Sara Ilstedt Hjelm; Cecilia Katzeff; Johan Redström; Jonathan Chapman; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; interaction design; sustainable design; research through design; critical design; Machine Design; Maskinkonstruktion;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis introduces and critically reflects on a design programme, Storyforming, that explores ways to design objects and places to enrich daily life narratives. Using an experimental design approach, the goal is to exemplify and explore this idea with discursive artefacts that, through their physical and temporal form, act as catalysts in the construction of meaningful experiences. 3. 18. On the Fundamentals of the Engineering Design Process

    Författare :Damien Motte; Innovation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; systems theory; design theory; engineering design; product development; problem solving; creativity; machine design; maskinkonstruktion;

    Sammanfattning : In an industrial context when the product development cycles are shortened and constraints on technical innovations are high, it is very important to provide a very efficient and effective engineering design activity. In the current engineering design literature, most methodologies are by and large based on the so-called systematic engineering design approach. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Patchworking publics-in-the-making : design, media and public engagement

    Författare :Kristina Lindström; Åsa Ståhl; Nina Wakeford; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :design; media; collaboration; making; technology; materiality; material turn; interaction design; media and communication studies; publics; feminist technoscience;

    Sammanfattning : This is a collaborative practice-based thesis by publication written across two disciplines: interaction design, and media and communication studies. Based on Threads – a Mobile Sewing Circle, a travelling exhibition in which participants are invited to embroider an SMS by hand and with an embroidery machine connected to a mobile phone, this thesis puts forward the concept of publics-in-the-making.
