    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cyanobacteria; hydrogen; RNA; bioinformatics; RT-PCR; RACE; transcription; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi; Bioinformatics; Bioinformatik; Molecular Biology; Molekylärbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The use of fossil fuels presents a particularly interesting challenge - our society strongly depends on coal and oil, but we are aware that their use is damaging the environment. Currently, this awareness is gaining momentum, and pressure to evolve towards an energetically cleaner planet is very strong. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The presence of TP53 mutations has been associated with inferior outcome in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). In DLBCL, the impact of the TP53 codon 72 polymorphism and MDM2 SNP309 has not been clearly elucidated, whereas MDM2 SNP309 was suggested as a poor-prognostic marker in CLL. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common high-grade brain tumor diagnosed in patients who are more than 50 years of age. The standard of care treatment is surgery, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The median life expectancy of patients is only between 12 to 15 months after receiving current treatment regimes. 4. 19. Development of molecular techniques for fungal diagnostic research

    Författare :Qing-Yin Zeng; Åsa Rasmuson-Lestander; Xiao-Ru Wang; Aino Nevalainen; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular biology; Fungi; DNA markers; Aerosols; Detection and quantification; Environmental monitoring; Molekylärbiologi; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : Fungi are present everywhere in indoor and outdoor environments. Many fungi are toxigenic or pathogenic that may cause various public health concerns. Rapid detection, quantification and characterization of fungi in living and working environments are essential for exposure risk assessment to safe guard public health. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Molecular and functional characterization of the insect hemolymph clot

    Författare :Malin Lindgren; Ulrich Theopold; Andreas Vilcinskas; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Innate immunity; hemolymph coagulation; transglutaminase; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : All metazoans possess an epithelial barrier that protects them from their environment and prevents loss off body fluid. Insects, which have an open circulatory system, depend on fast mechanism to seal wounds to avoid excessive loss of body fluids. LÄS MER
