    Sammanfattning : A new type of Bioelectronic Nanosensor Device with potential applications in medicine,biotechnology and environmental analysis was designed. The nanosensor is based on RISFET (Regional Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor) technology. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Structure, Function and Regulation of Fps1p. A Eukaryotic Solute Efflux Channel

    Författare :Kristina Hedfalk; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NPA-motif; Fps1p; regulation; overexpression; osmoadaptation; glycerol facilitator; MIP;

    Sammanfattning : Integral membrane proteins belonging to the Major Intrinsic Protein (MIP) family can be found in all kingdoms of life. MIPs are transporters of water, small neutral solutes and possibly ions, and hence are important for osmoregulation at different levels. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Plant Major Intrinsic Proteins - natural variation and evolution

    Författare :Jonas Danielson; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MIP; aquaporin; plant; natural variation; evolution; Arabidopsis; Physcomitrella patens; NIP; XIP;

    Sammanfattning : Major Intrinsic Proteins (MIPs, also called Aquaporins, AQPs) are channel forming membrane proteins. Although initially functionally characterized and named after their water channeling property in human red blood cells, it has become increasingly evident that MIPs are present in all types of organisms and transport a variety of small, uncharged molecules besides water. 4. 4. Plant Aquaporins: A study of expression, localization, specificity, and regulation

    Författare :Sara Sjövall Larsen; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Växtbiokemi; Plant biochemistry; phosphorylation; protein kinase; overexpression; NIP; MIP; plant; aquaporin;

    Sammanfattning : Aquaporins, or Major Intrinsic Proteins (MIPs), are integral proteins that facilitate transport of water and other small neutral solutes across biological membranes. They belong to a well conserved and ancient family of proteins, present in all organisms ranging from bacteria to plants and humans. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Plant major intrinsic proteins. Identification and characterization of novel water channel-like protiens

    Författare :Sofia Gustavsson; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Växtbiokemi; Plant biochemistry; GIP; SIP; GUS; immunolabelling; aquaporin; aquaglyceroporin;

    Sammanfattning : The Major Intrinsic Proteins, MIPs, constitute a large, ancient superfamily of membrane proteins that are found in all kingdoms of life. Most MIPs facilitate passive diffusion of water across biological membranes (aquaporins), although many channels are also permeable for glycerol and other small uncharged solutes, (aquaglyceroporins).
