  1. 6. Short- and Long-Term Follow-Up of Ophthalmological Findings in Preterm Infants and Children

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Eva Larsson; Uppsala universitet.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Ophtalmology; prematurity; follow-up; retinopathy of prematurity; ROP; infants; children; incidence; screening; refraction; visual acuity; visual fields; Oftalmiatrik; MEDICINE Physiology and pharmacology Ophtalmology; MEDICIN Fysiologi och farmakologi Oftalmologi;

    Sammanfattning : In a prospective population-based study in Stockholm County, 1998-2000, the incidence of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) was investigated and was found to be 36% in prematurely-born infants with a birth weight of ≤ 1500 grams. Compared to a study performed ten years ago, the overall incidence was unchanged, but was reduced in “mature” infants and increased in immature ones. LÄS MER

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Dordi Austeng; Uppsala universitet.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Retinopathy of prematurity; extremely preterm; population-based; epidemiology; treatment; natural history; screening; MEDICINE Physiology and pharmacology Ophtalmology Ophtalmiatrics; MEDICIN Fysiologi och farmakologi Oftalmologi Oftalmiatrik; Ophtalmology; Oftalmiatrik; Pediatrik; Pediatrics; Epidemiologi; Epidemiology;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Improved neonatal care has resulted in an increasing population of surviving infants. Neonatal morbidity in preterm infants is, however, high, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is one of the major neonatal morbidities. LÄS MER

  3. 8. MANIPULATION OF OCULAR ABERRATIONS IN MYOPES

    Detta är en avhandling från Växjö, Kalmar : Linnaeus University Press

    Författare :Baskar Theagarayan; Linnéuniversitetet.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Myopia; Spherical aberration; Accommodation; Contact lens; Visual acuity; Peripheral aberrations; MEDICINE Physiology and pharmacology Ophtalmology Optometry; MEDICIN Fysiologi och farmakologi Oftalmologi Optometri; Optometry; Optometri;

    Sammanfattning : Myopia is a major cause of vision loss throughout the world. High myopia is associated with severe eye diseases like maculopathy, retinal detachment and glaucoma. The prevalence of myopia is increasing, and varies by country and by ethnic group. In some Asian populations the prevalence is 70%-80%. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Aspects of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) in Healthy Eyes and Eyes with Retinal Diseases
