  1. 1. Knee ligament injuries in male professional football players

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborgs universitet

    Författare :Matilda Lundblad; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2019]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; knee; ligament; MCL; LCL; ACL; PCL; professional football;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACT Knee ligament injuries are common in professional football and entail a significant time loss from football, but studies of knee ligament injuries other than anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries are scarce. The aim of this thesis was prospectively to study the epidemiology and characteristics of medial collateral ligament (MCL), lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries in male professional football players with the main emphasis on MCL injuries. 2. 2. Prognostic markers and DNA methylation profiling in lymphoid malignancies

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Sujata Bhoi; Richard Rosenquist Brandell; H Denis Alexander; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Lymphoid malignancies; CLL; MCL; prognostic markers; micro-RNA; methylation; stereotyped subsets;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, great progress has been achieved towards identifying novel biomarkers in lymphoid malignancies, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), at the genomic, transcriptomic and epigenomic level for accurate risk-stratification and prediction of treatment response. In paper I, we validated the prognostic relevance of a recently proposed RNA-based marker in CLL, UGT2B17, and analyzed its expression levels in 253 early-stage patients. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The objective of this thesis was to find genes and chromosomal regions involved in neuroblastoma (NB) tumor progression. NB is a childhood tumor of the sympathetic nervous system that generally occurs spontaneously. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Mantle cell lymphoma strategies in primary treatment

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University: Faculty of Medicine

    Författare :Alexandra Albertsson Lindblad; [2018]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; mantle cell lymphoma; registry data; Clinical Trial; Phase I; Clinical Trial; Phase II; rituximab; bendamustine; lenalidomid; ibrutinib; ADCC; in vitro model; TP53 mutations; watchful waiting; mantle cell lymphoma; real-world data; lenalidomide; rituximab; bendamustin; ibrutinib; ADCC; TP53 mutation; CDKN2A; NGS; MIPI; Watchful waiting;

    Sammanfattning : Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is associated with poor prognosis due to an aggressive clinical course. Being a rare disease, there are few randomized trials in MCL and there is no defined golden standard in primary treatment. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Molecular Dissection of Mantle Cell Lymphoma - From gene expression analysis to functional evaluation of selected targets

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Immunotechnology, Lund University

    Författare :Venera Kuci; [2016]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; side population; deoxycytidine kinase; resistance; SOX11; mantle cell lymphoma;

    Sammanfattning : Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is an aggressive form of B-cell lymphoma (BCL) with poor clinical outcome. In this thesis, which is based upon five original papers, different approaches have been used to pinpoint and investigate molecular events that promote MCL tumor growth, progression or resistance to treatment.
