  1. 1. Innovative Contact Free Sensors for Metallurgical Process Control

    Författare :Donald Malmberg; Stuart M. Millman; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; microwave spectroscopy; laser; TDLAS; high temperature; gas; slag; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; spectroscopy; slag analysis; high temperatures; Mät- och instrumenteringsteknik; Instrumentation technology; TDLAS; microwave; laser; Fysicumarkivet A:2003:Malmberg;

    Sammanfattning : The steel- and metal industry has an extensive production processing comprising many different process steps of solid, gaseous and liquid nature. Thus it is obvious that a number of different measurement technologies must be used to collect and evaluate key physical parameters which are necessary to control the production processes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Laser Spectroscopy in Scattering Media for Biological and Medical Applications

    Författare :Linda Persson; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Instrumentation technology; Mät- och instrumenteringsteknik; Atom- och molekylärfysik; Atomic and molecular physics; Fysik; Physics; Monte Carlo simulations; Biomedical Optics; Scattering media; Gas measurements; Near infrared spectroscopy; Diode laser spectroscopy; Absorption spectroscopy;

    Sammanfattning : Tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy can be utilised for gas detection in biological and medical applications. The common approach is to analyse transmitted light according to the Beer-Lambertian law. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Myoelectric Control for Hand Prostheses

    Författare :Fredrik Sebelius; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mät- och instrumenteringsteknik; Care and help to handicapped; Handikappade; vård och rehabilitering; Instrumentation technology; Virtual; Recognition; Real time; On-line learning; Myoelectric; Hand prosthesis; EMG; ANN; Artificial hands;

    Sammanfattning : An investigation of improvements of myoelectric prostheses has been undertaken. The primary aims of this thesis were (1) to generate an accurate prediction of as many hand movement as possible, (2) to produce a training setup for subjects allowing intuitive and instant control over multiple movements, and (3) to reduce the training cycle for the control system to a maximum of a couple of minutes to enable optimizations, e. 4. 4. Modelling and Validation of Industrial Measurement Systems - Aspects of Quality and Human Factors

    Författare :Jenny Wirandi; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Uncertainty Analysis; Quality Index; Instrumentation technology; Mät- och instrumenteringsteknik; Traceability; Fuzzy Variable; Pulp Quality; Industrial Measurement; Human Factor; GUM; Calibration; Fibre Measurement; Measurement Science;

    Sammanfattning : Although there is a fairly large number of books and articles concerning the validation of technical measurement systems, there are only a few which take into account the whole measurement system consisting of both technical and non-technical aspects. A measurement system comprises both the measurement process and the human being who conducts the measurement. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Porous Silicon -an enzyme coupling matrix for micromachined reactors

    Författare :Johan Drott; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Instrumentation technology; glucose; biosensor; immobilised enzyme; porous silicon; microreactor; Mät- och instrumenteringsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The development of a miniaturised silicon wafer integrated enzyme reactor is described. The reactor was micromachined by anisotropic wet etching of (110) silicon. The enzyme glucose oxidase (GOx) was coupled to the reactor surface with standard methods of immobilising enzyme to silica. LÄS MER
