  1. 31. Radon in natural waters : Analytical Methods; Correlation to Environmental Parameters; Radiation Dose Estimation; and GIS Applications

    Författare :Isam M. Musa Salih; Eva Lund; Håkan B.L. Pettersson; Christer Samuelsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Radon analysis; radiation effects; Water chemistry; Water pollution; radioactive analysis; Radiological physics; Radiofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Investigations of radon in natural water and its relation to physical and chemical parameters are outlined in this thesis. In particular, a method for measuring 222Rn in water at low concentrations (~20 mBq. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Measuring quality of occupational performance based on self-report and observation : development and validation of instruments to evaluate ADL task performance

    Författare :Eva Ejlersen Waehrens; Anne G Fisher; Hans Lund; Bente Danneskiold-Samsöe; Lena von Koch; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; activities of daily living; acquired brain injury; ADL evaluation; ADL task performance; chronic disease; chronic widespread pain; interview; observation; occupational therapy; observation-based evaluation; questionnaire; Rasch measurement; rheumatic diseases; Occupational therapy; Arbetsterapi; Occupational therapy; arbetsterapi;

    Sammanfattning : Background People with rheumatic or neurologic conditions are commonly referred for occupational therapy because of decreased ability to perform ADL tasks. Upon referral, occupational therapists use a client-centred, occupationfocused approach when evaluating a person's perceived and observed quality of ADL task performance to clarify the nature and extent of the person’s problems, plan interventions and determine effectiveness of interventions. 3. 33. Keeping track of time : Daily time management, participation, and time-related interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders

    Författare :Birgitta Wennberg; Per A Gustafsson; Anette Kjellberg; Gunnel Janeslätt; Maria Larsson-Lund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ADHD; autonomy; ID; daily time management; intervention; occupational therapy; participation; time assistive devices; time processing ability;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate daily time management (DTM) and time-related interventions aiming to enhance participation in everyday activities among school-age children and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders.In study I, experiences of participation when using time assistive devices (TADs) in daily activities were investigated from the perspective of young adults (aged 17–37) with intellectual disabilities (ID) (n = 9), using semi structured interviews. 4. 34. Water physiology in burn victims

    Författare :Joachim Zdolsek; Tøstolv Lund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Total body water; Extracellular fluid; Burn; Bioelectrical impedance; Oedema; Extracellular matrix; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Patients who sustain a burn injury of more than 20 - 30 % TBSA will, if untreated, develop burn shock within a couple of hours. Flcid is lost fi·om the vascular compartment due to suction from the interstitium of the wound and due to a generalised increase in vascular permeability. LÄS MER

  5. 35. Towards reliable seismic hazard assessment in underground mines

    Författare :Wille Törnman; Savka Dineva; Jesper Martinsson; Adam Jonsson; Björn Lund; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och berganläggningsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Seismic hazard is used for national, regional, and local level to ensure safe constructions in specific areas. In the mining industry this information is valuable e.g. to  design infrastructure or rock support, to reduce the risk of rock burst and to minimise the risk of locating personnel in hazardous areas.
