  1. 21. Radiolabeling and Biotinylation of Internalizing Monoclonal Antibody Chimeric BR96: Potential Use for Extracorporeal Immunoadsorption

    Författare :Jianqing Chen; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; serologi; Immunologi; transplantation; Immunology; serology;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, methodology of radiolabeling and simultaneous biotinylation for internalizing monoclonal antibody (MAb) chimeric BR96 (chiBR96) have been investigated by using three element groups of potential therapeutic radionuclides iodine, indium and rhenium, and their different labeling methods. The biodistribution and kinetics of biotinylated and radiolabeled chiBR96 have been studied in colon carcinoma isografted rats. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Dosimetric effects of removing the flattening filter in radiotherapy treatment units

    Författare :Mårten Dalaryd; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this work was to investigate the dosimetric effects of removing the flattening filter from conventional C-arm medical linear accelerators. In conventional linear accelerators used for radiotherapy, a flattening filter is positioned in the beam line to provide a uniform lateral dose profile at a specified depth in water. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Dosimetric effects of breathing motion in radiotherapy

    Författare :Anneli Edvardsson; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; radiotherapy; breathing motion; DIBH; interplay effects; VMAT; proton therapy; breast cancer; Hodgkin’s lymphoma; liver; dosimetry; treatment planning; medical physics;

    Sammanfattning : The goal of radiotherapy is to deliver a homogeneous high dose of radiation to a tumour while minimising the dose to the surrounding healthy tissue. To achieve this, increasingly advanced treatment techniques, such as volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and proton therapy, have been developed. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Electropermeabilization in Experimental Tumour Treatment: Dosimetry and Tissue Effects

    Författare :Per Engström; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; liver; electroporation; ischemia; Electropermeabilization; ECT; Tumor; 111-In-BLMC; 99m-Tc-DTPA; glioma; rat; electric pulses; Impedance spectrometry; treatment; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Short, electric high-voltage pulses can be used to transiently increase the permeability of cell membranes without significant loss of cell viability. During this period of time, extracellular and normally non-permeant, molecules are accessed the cytoplasm and the cell nucleus. LÄS MER

  5. 25. On Weapons Plutonium in the Arctic Environment (Thule, Greenland)

    Författare :Mats Eriksson; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Nuclear physics; Kärnfysik; Nuclear medicine; radiobiology; Nukleärmedicin; radiobiologi; Nuclear engineering and technology; Kärnteknik; realtime digital image systems; SEM; ICP-MS; alpha spectrometry; gamma spectrometry; heterogeneous activity concentration; hot particle; separation technique; isotopic ratio; inventory; source term; fallout; americium; uranium; plutonium; radionuclide; Bylot Sound; Greenland; Thule; environmental radioactivity; nuclear accident;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns a nuclear accident that occurred in the Thule (Pituffik) area, NW Greenland in 1968, called the Thule accident. Results are based on different analytical techniques, i.e. gamma spectrometry, alpha spectrometry, ICP-MS, SEM with EDX and different sediment models, i. LÄS MER
