21. Core-hole Clock Spectroscopy Using Hard X-rays : Exciting States in Condensed Matter
Sammanfattning : This thesis is about how electrons move from one place to another, that is charge transfer dynamics. Charge transfer dynamics is an important property governing chemical and physical changes that form the base for many applications such as electronics, optoelectronics and catalysis. LÄS MER
22. Causes and Labor Market Consequences of Producer Heterogeneity
Sammanfattning : Essay I studies establishment-level employment changes in the Swedish Manufacturing sector over the 1972-96 period. The results show that modest changes in the aggregated employment record have been the resulting sum of rather large gross flows of jobs and that this constant reshuffling of jobs has important implications for the workforce and is closely related to process of economic growth. 23. Mesoscopic phenomena in the electromechanics of suspended nanowires
Sammanfattning : Over the last two decades nanotechnology has been a very active field of scientific research, both from fundamental perspectives as well as for applications in technology and consumer goods. In this thesis, theoretical work on quantum mechanical effects on charge transport in nanoelectromechanical systems is presented. LÄS MER
24. Engineering usability
Sammanfattning : AbstractThe pivotal concern of this dissertation is that maritime instrumentation building on information technology appears to be more difficult to use than necessary. Initially, the dissertation puts the question of “Why is that?”. LÄS MER
25. Thermal evaporation of small molecules-A study of interfacial, bulk and device properties for molecular electronics
Sammanfattning : Electronic devices based on organic materials have recently become an emerging technology for many applications. Promising aspects are the compatibility with almost any substrate and low cost processing methods. LÄS MER
