    Författare :Umar Hanif Ramadhani; Joakim Widén; Joakim Munkhammar; Sarah Rönnberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Probabilistic load flow; Electricity distribution systems; Uncertainty model; Correlation model; Photovoltaics; Electric vehicle; Residential buildings; Hosting capacity; Engineering Science with specialization in Civil Engineering and Built Environment; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot byggteknik och byggd miljö;

    Sammanfattning : The penetration of photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicles (EVs) continues to grow and is predicted to claim a vital share of the future energy mix. It poses new challenges in the built environment, as both PV systems and EVs are widely dispersed in the electricity distribution system. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Continuum modeling of paperboard for the mechanical response of converting processes

    Författare :Kristofer Robertsson; Hållfasthetslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Paperboard; Continuum modeling; Converting processes; FEM simulations; Finite strain theory; Damage modeling; Rate-dependent; Creasing and folding; Out-of-plane experiments;

    Sammanfattning : Paperboard is a thin and lightweight material made of cellulose fibers and it is an important component in packaging material where it provides stiffness and rigidity. The scope of this work is the development of continuum models, and its numerical treatments, for simulating the processes of converting paperboard into packages. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Modeling and Control of VSC-HVDC Links Connected to Weak AC Systems

    Författare :Lidong Zhang; Hans-Peter Nee; Alan Wood; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Control; modeling; multivariable feedback control; HVDC; power systems; stability; subsynchronous torsional interaction; voltage-source converter; weak ac systems;

    Sammanfattning : For high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission, the strength of the ac system is important for normal operation. An ac system can be considered as weak either because its impedance is high or its inertia is low. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Current harmonic modeling of aggregated electric vehicle loads in the low voltage grid

    Författare :Georgios Foskolos; Erik Dahlquist; Lennart Söder; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electric Vehicles; current harmonics; modeling; aggregation; power-exponential functions; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The proliferation of Electric Vehicles (EVs) poses new challenges for the Distribution System Operator (DSO). For example, the rectifiers that are used for charging EV batteries could significantly influence Power Quality (PQ), in terms of harmonic distortion. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Long-term development, modeling and management of nutrient loading to inland and coastal waters

    Författare :Amelie Darracq; Georgia Destouni; Andrea Rinaldo; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Nutrients; catchments; environmental management; climate change; population and lifestyle development; subsurface-surface water interactions; long-term simulations; nutrient retention; modeling; hydrology; transport processes; biogeochemistry; scaling; transport and reaction rates; Physical Geography; geografi med naturgeografisk inriktning;

    Sammanfattning : Environmental and water system protection and restoration require accurate knowledge and quantification of waterborne pollutant transport, retention-release and transformation processes taking place in the subsurface, river, lake and sea water systems, and at the interfaces between these systems. This thesis investigates the importance of spatial model resolution for such quantification and the possible long-term nutrient load development under different human perturbations and nutrient source management scenarios in the Swedish Norrström drainage basin, based on simulations with the GIS-based dynamic nutrient transport-attenuation model POLFLOW.
